To fulfil the necessary criteria, the paper must be written in the English language while adhering to the following specifications:
Length of the paper:
The paper must be composed in the English language and adhere to the following guidelines regarding length:
For undergraduate submissions, the paper should not exceed a maximum of 20 pages, encompassing all charts, graphs, references, and any appendices.
For graduate student submissions, the paper should not exceed a maximum of 30 pages, inclusive of all charts, graphs, references, and any appendices.
Format of the paper:
- Font should be Times New Roman — point size 12
- Margins of 1 inch (2.5 cm) all around
- Double spaced
- Papers must be submitted in MSWord (DOC or DOCX) or Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format.
Charts and Citations
- Charts and graphs should be “stylized”; that is, exhibits should be developed, formatted, and inserted into the document appropriately. Cutting and pasting direct output from statistical software into the document is not

Title Page and Abstract
The page presenting the title should incorporate essential details such as the author’s name, the name of their faculty advisor, the institution they are affiliated with, the expected degree or recently obtained degree, the anticipated graduation date (month/year), and the author’s email address.
Following the title page, there should be a concise abstract of no more than 150 words. It is important to note that the title page and abstract pages do not contribute to the page limits specified.
Page headers and/or footers should include page numbers and a condensed version of the paper’s title. However, they must not include the author’s name or the institution’s name to ensure impartial evaluation by the judges.
Minimum qualifications and eligibility requirements for all entries are as follows:
Author Status:
The competition will be evaluated under 3 age groups:
- Age 14-18 years – High School students
- Age 19-25 years – University students & fresh graduates
- Age 25 and above – Working professionals
Coauthorship: Papers co-authored by multiple students are allowed. In the case of co-authored or multiple-authored winning papers, the specified monetary awards will be shared among the authors if segregating the award is not possible.
Single Submission: Each author is permitted to enter only one paper, whether as a sole author or as a coauthor.
Originality: Each paper must represent an original analysis and must be the author’s own work. Previously published papers are not eligible for submission.
Student Authorship: Papers co-authored with faculty members are not eligible. Only papers authored solely by students are eligible for submission.
Preparation: The paper must adhere to the specified preparation requirements outlined below.
Entry Form: The entry form must be completed and submitted according to the provided instructions.
Deadline: All papers and their corresponding entry forms must be received by midnight Central European Time by Friday 29th September 2023.
